Chapel of St. Rocco
St. Rocco is the patron saint of Cautano and this little church was built in his honor in the 17th century. When my grandfather came to America he sent money back to help rebuild the church. The cross in photo #3 has his name Giuseppe Rillo carved into it. (Photo #4 from 2006 show the engraving more clearly). It was recently placed in its current setting in the trees by the church. We go to this church every time we go to Cautano - sort of a pilgrimage. The views from the piazza in front of the church are beautiful (photos 5,6,7).
