Last day of review 2019-Painting with light

January 03, 2020  •  1 Comment

It is often said that photography is "writing with light". These are what I call "painting with light". It's a favorite technique I use to create unique images, images that are more about expressing the feel of the scene, and giving an impression of the light, color and design, rather than documenting exactly what I see. It involves lots of trial and error and no two images are alike. Once in a while I get an image or two that really work, frequently I get nothing and a lot of pixels give their lives in the effort. Most often, however I get absorbed in the process and that is the best part - whether or not I come away with a successful image. It's all about the creative process which I am grateful to participate in.

So, this is the last sample of my favorites for 2019. Thank you for looking and your kind feedback. It's time to get out there and create again! If you are interested in seeing more I invite you to visit my website. See my entire selection of 2019 favorites here. All in all it was a very good year.

Happy New Year everyone! May the muse be with you!
