Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.
As I said last year, this is a city I can see myself returning to and I did. This time with Harvey. We stayed on Folly Beach with a great view of the ocean. As it did last year, sunrise provided a constantly changing palette of color as a backdrop to the beautiful pier.
Walking through the historic district is like stepping back in time. The classic Charleston architecture with the colorful shutters, and the courtyards with their wrought-iron gates and fences is like an treasure hunt a with new and different treasure just a few steps away or around the next corner.
This year we went to both Middleton Place and Magnolia Gardens, two of America's most beautiful gardens got a much needed flower fix. Different in their garden style, both were in nearly full bloom and the weather was perfect!
On our last night there we had dinner with friends from our hometown and did a lot of catching up and reminiscing. They made the city even more friendly and welcoming. Karan should work for the Chamber of Commerce!
I hope you enjoy the images I created and I hope they inspire you to see Charleston, South Carolina for your self.
