The beginning of your life together.
Share it with the world or just your friends and family
with a beautiful portrait of just the two of you.
~ Here’s how to get the most from your portrait session ~
Location, location, location! I prefer to make your portraits in the natural light of outdoors. We’ll go to your favorite place or I’ll suggest a spot, typically one of the beautiful local parks, around your town, or at your home.
Timing is everything... The best light for outdoor photographs is generally 1 hour after sunrise or before sunset. Please keep that in mind when planning your session. As these portraits are mostly outdoors please select two or three dates to accommodate the weather.
Looking your best... The most important thing is to be yourselves! You can dress up or go casual. wear the same color, same or different tones, or choose two colors that work well together. I recommend wearing solid color shirts, tops, sweaters. Medium tones work the best. No logos or text on the shirt please. They distract from the most important part of a portrait - your faces. Blue jeans, khaki or black pants or jeans always look nice. There are lots of variations that look great so please contact me if you would like more specific ideas.
+ Please note: NYS says I must add sales tax to the price
Engagement Session... $200+
# length of web gallery time depends on the wedding package purchased
Also: The engagement session can be combined with a wedding package at a savings to you. This is a great idea as it gives us time to get to know each other which is really important on the day of the wedding.
Guarantee: If you are not happy with your photos I will reshoot them for free.
After the Session is Over...
Good photography also means the session is just beginning of my job. Having great gear, and back-up gear, that can do the job is vital. Then there is sorting and editing of all images taken and excellent computer skills are important to produce the most beautiful photos. Why? Because I shoot in what is known as RAW format - like a digital negative - which must be developed in the digital darkroom (computer) using specialized software to get the most out of each image. I use Lightroom and Photoshop. It's time consuming but totally worth it in the end. And rest assured, my work is triple backed-up.
