From July 5-11, 2009 I had the amazing experience of attending the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine http://www.mainemedia.edu/ where I took a photography class called "Colors of the Maine Landscape" with photographer Alison Shaw from Martha's Vineyard. http://www.alisonshaw.com/

We were on the go from dawn until after dusk shooting at various locations, processing our photos, in group discussions and in critique sessions. Three days were beautiful and two were cold and rainy and we made photos either way. I learned a LOT, saw many excellent images by my classmates, my teacher and other visiting photographers, shared ideas, tried new techniques to capture the beauty of Maine and made some wonderful new friends.

I hope you feel as though you have been to Maine for a few minutes as you look through my photographs.
